Fatal Girl.

In 1992, film academic Carol J. Clover coined the term “final girl” in her analysis of popular horror movies of the era. Since then, the final girl has solidified itself as a recognizable archetype

both for die-hard horror fans and distant admirers of the genre.

Even if you’ve never heard the term “final girl” before, it’s likely you’ve encountered it at least tangentially- the female character of the horror story tradition that outlasts all of her other teenage friends, and typically vanquishes the killer in the climactic height of the film. The final girl is a superhero in her own right, and she represents the resilience of her youth, the kindness of her heart, and the ferocity of her mind all at once.

But what happens when the killers outnumber her 50 to 1?

On one fateful night, Dana Gui, a mild-mannered 17 year old, sneaks into an abandoned movie theater with a group of close friends.

In her possession: a secret collection of her favorite horror movies. Of course, Dana wouldn’t be caught dead with those DVDs and tapes- in fact, her hometown of Snorhaven outlawed horror movies decades ago to quell the negative influence of the horrific images on display. Dana though, typical teenager she is, doesn’t mind breaking the rules.

But her actions will have consequences far beyond her understanding.

When the fictitious creatures and haunts from her collection start showing up at every turn of her normal life, Dana will have to temper new supernatural horrors- along with the regular highschool ones.

Dana

You could be convinced that Dana Gui is a perfectly normal 17 year-old. A kind, supportive, and spunky highschooler with a knack for baking and a killer obsession with horror movies- Dana embodies the solid, down to earth spirit.

What she lacks in overt popularity or book-smarts at school, she more than makes up for in her genuine compassion and feisty spirit- the exact spirit that’s tested when all hell breaks loose in her world.

Puko

Named after the sea monster of myth, Puko originates from the classic monster movie, The Beast from the BermudaAfter his awakening, Puko finds himself on the shores of Snorhaven with one goal in mind- to take his next victim to their watery grave.

Norman Sully

The serial killer from the 80's classic slasher Sanitator, Norman Sully is the terrifying janitor-turned-murderer that awakens in the hallways of Snorhaven High.

Pick up your trash- or else.

Mumbo

MumboEdit2.png

Mumbo isn't actually from a horror movie. He's from the preschool-aimed educational movie Potty Party with Mumbo. Dana was just always scared of him when her parents put the DVD on, so Potty Party found a permanent spot in her horror collection.

However, Mumbo's happy go lucky enthusiasm didn't seem to translate to his new real body, creating a feral felt puppet that patrols the sewers of Snorhaven.
